Good Theater is the professional, non-Equity, theater in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center. Good Theater is currently celebrating its fourth season at the St. Lawrence.
Good Theater was founded by Brian P. Allen (artistic director) and Stephen Underwood (technical director). The 501c3 non-proft organization has a board of directors and is dedicated to presenting quality theatrical productions that are uplifting, inspiring and life affirming using the best local artists available.
Each season Good Theater presents at least four main stage attractions including one major musical. Since its inception Good Theater has produced more than 20 productions ranging from the Maine premiere of
A Man of No Importance to the classic Charley's Aunt to contemporary plays like Master Class.
As the primary tenant Good Theater gives more than 70 performances each season attracting over 6,000 patrons annually.
